Prose
Although I love screenwriting, prose is where my heart is. Novels, short stories and flash fiction.
It’s where I can spend time playing with words and worlds and characters. It’s probably why I’ve published so little – I find hard to let my prose creations go.
Following are a few short stories I have set free. I’m also currently working a draft of a novel called “A Forest Grew”.

Poetry
The Rabbit and the Beast
Second Prize 2012 Nillumbik Ekphrasis Poetry Award
‘You are the last,’ said the rabbit.
‘Alone?’ asked the beast.
‘You wore the wrong costume to the party,
it reminds them of an ancient foe.’
‘But it is my skin,’ said the beast,
‘I cannot take it off.’
‘They will take it,’ said the rabbit,
‘and freeze your blood when you die.’
Published on a postcard with the artwork “How to Explain Genetics to a Thylacine”, which inspired the poem.

Lake Air From The Air
Winner of the 2015 Environment in Focus Photo Competition and Exhibition. I took this photograph using a digital SLR from a light plane above Lake Eyre when there was only a small amount of water creating stunning salt gradients.
